The function of customizing players with unique badges has returned to NBA 2K21. To name the latest and most significant cards, and then have the ability to make your cards by customizing them to suit your game style better, that's something to say.

For those who are not familiar with the MyTEAM experience, badge cards will be provided in MyTEAM, allowing you to apply badges and upgrade badges on the player. Some changes and improvements have been made since you last saw this feature. Badge cards will be offered in bronze, silver, gold, and hall of fame. There will be few versions of the Hall of Fame badges, mainly through pricing and playing games (season level rewards are the area where you can find these badges). For anyone familiar with the game, how powerful the correct Hall of Fame badge is for the gaming experience! Another significant change is that we will limit the badges affixed to players based on its prototype/play. Putting a brick wall badge on Steph Curry doesn't make much sense.

Let us briefly talk about the impact of this on the next generation of games. I believe you have heard and read that we are building a truly unique experience from scratch, and this game looks great! Compared with the current version, the game mode of the next-generation game version is very different. There will be several new badges and badge changes in the next generation of games. Evolution Cards is one of our new additions to the NBA 2K20 MyTEAM experience. The ability to obtain cards and upgrade them to higher gem levels feels very beneficial because it allows people to use their collections to build some sweat assets. The evolution card is back in NBA 2K21 and is better than ever!
New to NBA 2K21, you can now better control how individual Evolution Cards develop when layering. That's because we introduced the concept of branching in the evolution process! When you have an Evo card that can enter an elite level, you will choose between two badges added to a given card. Let's use a real example here to explore this further. Spoiler alert: The venerable Shaquille O'Neal is one of our starter pack options this year . One of his evolutionary layers will provide you with a choice between Rebound Chaser (improve rebounding ability) and Rim Protector (better block knowledge). This is a difficult choice. Do you want to make Shaq a better rebounder or make the basket more threatening? Depending on the badge you choose to chase, the requirements to upgrade it will be updated accordingly.

The evolution card is back, better than ever! New to NBA 2K21, you can now better control how individual Evolution Cards develop when layering. Will you improve Shaq's rebounding ability or blocking ability? This is your choice!
